Tourists from Poland have not shown interest in the Bulgarian resort in winter so far

Tourists from Poland will arrive for the first time in Bansko this winter. That is good news, because Poles have not shown interest in the Bulgarian resort in winter so far, the general manager of Vihren Palace Ski&Spa, Yuliana Hristova, told the Pari daily.
There was a big increase in arrivals from Poland in the summer. Probably the tourists have now decided to check the possibilities for winter vacation here, Petrana Grahlyova, marketing and sales manager of FPI Hotels&Resorts, said.

The interest of Polish holiday-makers is probably prompted by the reasonable prices, hotel managers say. Tourists from Poland are usually aged 30 to 35 years and come mainly with their families.

Hotel managers report good bookings for the coming winter holidays. Bansko traditionally relies on tourists from Greece, Russia and Bulgaria. Some 95% of the reservations have been made by Greek holiday-makers, the remaining 5% are Bulgarians, Yuliana Hristova said. The strong interest from Greece is probably encouraged by the combination of ski and spa services, she added.
