EUR 50m invested in sports complex in Bansko, the stadium and the city park will organize the new entertainment zone. The concept has been passed by the local municipal council, its author is the architect Lyubomir Semerdzhiev, the investor is BD Sport Bansko with executive director Nikolay Galchev, the local municipality is a shareholder in the company. The project was green lighted under the condition of a guaranteed share of the municipality in the company. The general contractor will be Galchev Engineering Group, the building works are expected to be finished within three years after the building permit is issued. The complex will have a gross-floor area of 82,000 sq. m with 9,000 sq. m of a football stadium licensed by UEFA and 8,000 seats, an underground parking for 1,200 cars. The building itself will be three-level with a hotel block, shopping zone, administrative sectors, storage facilities, parkings and access space. The hotel will be four-star category with 300 beds, multifunctional and conference halls. The existing lake will be a central element in the park as a natural continuation of the complex. The new social, sports and entertainment centre with its wide spectrum of activities and services will meet the year-round needs from sports and entertainment for tourists and local inhabitants.
